Select

What is Select?

Definition

Select means to mark an item on the screen as the current target for the next action or command. This action highlights or outlines the chosen object, text, or area to indicate that it is active and ready to be used. This matters because accurate selection ensures that changes, commands, or inputs are applied to the correct item, which prevents unintended actions and supports controlled interaction.
