Type

What is Type?

Definition

Type refers to the action of entering letters, numbers, or symbols into a computer using a keyboard. The characters appear at the insertion point and are added sequentially as each key is pressed, forming new content on the screen. This matters because typing is the primary method for creating written material and providing text-based input, enabling tasks such as writing documents, completing forms, and communicating digitally.
