  • How to use the Animation Pane to control the order and timing of animations

Understanding Animations

Animations add movement to objects on a slide during a presentation. For example, text, pictures, or shapes can appear, disappear, or move while you are presenting.

After you apply an animation, you can use the Animation Pane to organize the order in which animations play and adjust their timing. This gives you more control over how information is presented to your audience.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Select the object you want to animate.

  2. Open the Animations tab.

  3. Choose an animation effect.

  4. Preview the animation if needed.

  5. Open the Animation Pane to change the order or timing of animations.

Why This Is Useful

Animations can help direct your audience's attention to important information and reveal content one step at a time. Using the Animation Pane helps you organize multiple animations so they play in the order you want during your presentation.
