Open

What is Open?

Definition

Open is the action of displaying or accessing a file, folder, app, or other item so that it can be viewed or used. When something is opened, its contents or functions become available within the operating system or an application. This is important because most computer tasks require an item to be opened before it can be examined, edited, or worked with.
