What is App?

Definition

An app, short for application, is a software program designed to perform specific tasks on a computer or other device. Different apps are used for activities such as creating documents, browsing the web, managing information, or working with media. This makes it possible to complete a wide range of tasks by opening the app that is designed for the job.
