Range

What is Range?

Definition

A range is a collection of cells in a spreadsheet that are selected and treated as a single unit. Ranges are commonly used when performing calculations, applying formatting, creating charts, or working with groups of related data. This makes it possible to work with multiple cells at once instead of repeating the same action on each cell individually.
